  • From Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), the fastest route is via Highway 27 toward Puntarenas, where you will look for the ferry terminal to Playa Naranjo. The ferry crossing takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, offering stunning views of the Gulf of Nicoya. From the ferry landing, it is only 600 meters to Hotel O’Pacífico. Total travel time: approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Tip: We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance to avoid long lines.

To reach O’Pacífico Hotel Boutique, the ideal and most direct option is the Playa Naranjo Ferry (Coonatramar), as the terminal is located right next to the hotel.

If you take the Paquera Ferry (Naviera Tambor), you will need to drive an additional 40 minutes (30 km) via Route 160.

Important: Please check the daily schedules and book in advance, as the last ferry usually departs between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

  • From Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR), you will drive south through a large portion of the Nicoya Peninsula, passing through towns such as Comunidad, Filadelfia, and Santa Cruz, until you reach Playa Naranjo. Unlike the route from San José, taking a ferry is not necessary when traveling from Liberia, as you will travel directly by road through the province of Guanacaste.
